Wild. What blows my mind about the article is that the way its described is almost as if its being implied that Lady Gaga actually set out to accomplish this state of robotic-ism. I think they're giving her (and most of the artists they feature) too much credit.

This is either the Biggest Conspiracy Theory Ever or these people live in very plain apartments with no decoration and all drive plain cars scrolling through life trying to find the meaning in every dumb thing that common people are attracted to like butterflies, dolphins and shoes...

I get so sick of those emails from the music industry reminding me to put more satanic references in my music. Every track they want more subliminal messages, more backmasking sections, more coded Illuminati messages. I didn't realize when I sold my soul for music that it would be such a hassle!

This kind of thinking has been around for quite a while. I remember seeing a video series about 20 or so years ago which had a similar bent. I can tell you from first hand experience (being an ex professional ordained church minister) that there are people who whole heartedly believe this stuff and organize their lives, particularly their kids lives around this kind of information. I remember one particualr incident with a family who were mortified/horrified that their 14yr old son bought the latest album by Rush called 'Roll the Bones.'



To them, clearly the dice are tools of satan and Rush has blatantly woven satanic concepts into their art work and lyrics.

I also remember being approached by children of fanatical christian parents who were told that Rod Stewart used to drink human semen before each concert as a dedication to satan, as was customary practice by all rock super starts who had sold their souls to satan in exchange for fame and fortune.

yep! I finally figured out how I can use the 'reverse' feature in a song...
it doesn't matter what the song sounds like going forward as long as it tells the listeners to kill themselves when played backwards.

that video only proves that you can prove anything with information presented out of context and it proves that you can't use symbolism or references to pop culture (movies) without people thinking it must be a conspiracy of a satanic cult or masons.

It also proves that people are drawn to visuals that religion often use in rituals, which is more than likely why the religion used that visual to begin with. I'd say that religion is more like the music industry than the other way around.
