Post by Martyn » Mon Feb 07, 2005 9:39 pm

It was working ok in the last version of Live.

This thread'll tell it better than me.

I just thought I'd bump this up again in case nobody noticed, it's quite an issue for some people.
The two programs compliment each other perfectly when they're working, and they were getting along just fine before 4.1.

i have the same problem. it works with Live 4.0.4. nothing to add :?

for the moment, i don't really need to resize the window (haven't bought eXT's license yet), but this may be a problem...

I've checked that. energy XT 1.30 beta crashes inside its own code suddenly. I guess there is a new bug. Please report to the developer.

Jorgen knows about it, the thing is, older betas that were working fine in Live4.0.4 exibit the same behaviour. The last stable release (1.2.9) doesn't crash in the same way but still behaves strangely. This was definately working fine in Live 4.0.4.

It's a shame  I hope someone can sort it.

I'll post this thread up on the eXT forum on KVR and see what happens.

Cheers

There is definetly no change in Live 4.1 in the window handling code.

Sorry to hear so, but you should ask the developer of Energy XT to work on that. There is not one other plug-in that has problems with Window Resizing in Live. We make sure that all kind of bugs in plug-ins are fixed. Obviously this conflicts with what EnergyXT is doing.

The developer is welcome to contact me if he needs more information about what is going wrong and how to fix it. I haven't heart from him.

ok, with last beta, ext doen't crash, but when you try to resize the window, live takes focus so it stops resizing, and you have to do a lot of clics to try to resize, a game against live and ext to match the desired size. any opinion about this??? is it normal, or should Jorgen make some more tweaking?? or could you make something to avoid live to take the focus??

Is this focus losing problem of energy XT specific to Live? I've had a quick look and that EnergyXT loses the focus has nothing to do with resizing the window. It just always loses the focus when clicked inside of the content area. This happens to no other plug-in that I am aware of.
