Is it possible to automate the changing of Scenes?

Post by TheEclectic » Wed Dec 23, 2009 6:54 pm

I want to be able to set Master Scene 1 to repeat 4 times, go to Master Scene 2 and repeat 1 time, go to Master Scene 3 and repeat 2 times, etc.

Is this possible? If so how?

I looked in the PDF manual but did not find anything, which makes me think the answer may be "no".

Thank you.

Max4live, or clips sending midi via IAC bus or MidiYoke. Get it ?

Look into 'Follow actions'.

"Follow Actions" is what I needed to know. It is a little more complicated than I had hoped, but it looks like there are some opportunities to be discovered in the process.

"Max4live, or clips sending midi via IAC bus or MidiYoke" is way over my head. I am a newbie and have much to learn.

Thank you.

Ok, but follow actions are only for clips, not for scenes.

You can select all the clips in the scene and set all of their follow actions at once. It's no more difficult than setting a single clips follow action.

Yes but no. This will not work if empty cells are left in a track.
Although in this case you can put midi clips with nothing in it, or audio clips with silence.

Once upon a time, I asked for this on the wishlist forum...

About empty cells, I got a useful tip:

Use empty audio clips, like fake dummy clips, with just follow actions set,
then it's super easy when you have tracks with no original clips on some tracks, for breaks or whatever else.

I keep those blank clips WHITE for the case I would start triggering clips on the fly, so the white clips can only be used as "stop button".
