Post by digitalbeat » Wed Dec 30, 2009 2:04 pm

Is it possible to updatet every Lite Version to Intro even if the Version was part of a keyboard or something like that? Cause i am interested in a Lite Version but i am afraid that i can not update :(

Registering a Lite version is the beginning of the upgrade path. If you get a lite version with a piece of hardware whether it is an audio card or a keyboard etc, and register your license, you will be in the Ableton system and have access to their various upgrades which includes Intro. You will see that when you log into your Ableton account which licenses you have and your price for upgrading via their web shop. I started with a Lite version myself.

All the best. G.

Yes. everyone who has LE can get a free update to Intro.

Everyone who has Lite has to purchase an upgrade to Intro (or the full version).

Cheers. G.

Do you have a copy of Lite? If you do then register it on your digitalbeat account. Once you have done that then your account details will be upgraded and will be reflected in how much it costs to upgrade. I cannot do this as I do not have a Lite version currently registered.

If you do not have a Lite version then your best bet is to contact customer carehttp://www.ableton.com/pages/support/co ... tomer_care ask have them fill in the details.

Hey I just found an old copy of Lite and registered it. It does not have an upgrade path to Intro, only to the full version of 8 or suite.

Hope That helps. G.

I thought we had been through that in (home)recording.

There is no upgrade path into Intro just as there has been no upgrade path into LE.

The free upgrade to Intro for LE users has only been introduced for the able10 promotion, ending mid-January afaik.

Next time there is a new major release of Live you buy another Intro or upgrade to one of the full versions. Full stop.
