Working with long peices

Post by geargasm » Sun Jan 19, 2003 8:44 pm

Anyone have any tips/suggestions on working with long peices of audio? I'm working with a long a cappella (well, 5 minutes long, longer than anything else I've ever worked with), and I can't seem to place the warp markers right to have it go with the song.
I am the bumpitron.

chop up the clip into managable 2 or 4 bar clips, you'll be much happier with this approach.

good luck

Start with a small section. Like 4 bars of the acapella looped. Adjust the warps so it sounds good against your backing beat and then move on to the next 4 bars and so on. Some songs are easier than others.
