chrome is cool if you wanna check your mail and read news"papers"..
otherwise it's quite limited compared to ff..
it is quick ...
but a second here and a second there don't really matter to me..

if theres' one thing... ONE THING!!
that really get's on my nerves with the internets...
is when streaming videos get stuck and choppy....
I can't handle that..
you wanna show someone some cool thing on youtube and you're both all hyped...
then the video gets stuck every 20sec...
one of the few times where I really lose my temper..
last time I called to disconnect from my isp
sorry .. off topic .. good night...

I've been a happy, long time user of Opera since ver2.xx. I gave up on IE long ago and I never liked FF. I'll have to give Chrome a tryout though. Thanks for the reminder/heads-up...

Been on it all day it is so much faster once you know your way around it. Not to worry - y'all will be on it soon enough. It is miles ahead of everything else.

I'm a Chrome convert now.

I have to say, Firefox has been getting worse and worse for me. Hanging, slow loading etc. Chrome is lightning-fast. The built-in developer tools are all I need for work too, so Firefox is definitely out of favour.

Firefox has become bloatware bollox. I have no idea what is wrong with it on my mac but it hangs for about 30 seconds when i load it and then crawls along. Chrome and safari are both fine. Fuck the fox

Make sure to disable your plugins you don't use in firefox.

I tried chrome for a while, but missed the plugins(adblock, firebug, delicious). The mac version is lagging behind the windows version in features as well.

They did come out with a bookmark syncing service (on windows) which is cool and would replace my need for delicious.

Opera is awesome.

There are security concerns with Chrome - google monitors everything in your address bar, not just what you submit to them in a search field.

I like a lot unlike firefox, if a tab crashes or a plug in (like flash player) only the tab crashes not the whole browser.

Chrome tracks everything you do to target advertising at you, and can be associated with any other google service such as gmail to build a more complete profile, which google could use to try to sell you stuff or to sell to someone else. Some people are more bothered about this than others.

I used to worry about that, but Google is on its way to owning the net now... so if it does worry you there's not much you can do except go off line.
