Autechre are excellent max users. There was a patch floating around with all kinds of generative sequencing goodness.

This site has some amazing material... mostly in Japanese but it seems like it's possible to dig some nice stuff out. thanks for posting!

You guys had me all worried. For a long time I was wondering if this was ever going to turn in to a "real"
MaxMSP forum.

Now I can rest easy that it is - we have been officially baptised into the light.

The Ae patch is all well and good (though dreary), but it was my impression that the any Max/MSP forum requires a couple of really classic postings to achieve "true" status - we're still missing "Can someone send me the Max patch for my final term project" posting that appears a week from end of term.... :D

Yes, but they all have those key commands installed that allow to switch from the Live screen to something like this in a fraction of a second:

ROTFL! ROTF-F***IN-L!! ... but...ah...(catching breath) ..hey.... (sigh) ....a midi Csound MaxForLive device based on msp's csound~ that allows loading of any midi enabled csound instr...as long as we acknowledge Davis Pyon, Matt Ingalls, Victor Lazzarini, Barry Vercoe.... somebody's gonna do it...:)

of course, there are those academics who seem to feel if they even *touch* live, they will immediately find themselves (or their music) out on the dance floor @ 3am turning down club designer drugs..:) ...

after all:

The tool pre-determines what can and should be done, right? Even if the tool is built around evolution and growth of musical practice?...:)

havin' some fun now, woo!! (turn down that bass!)
