m4l.api.selectparameter only works when in edit mode

this is driving me up the walls, i don't know what i'm doing wrong.

i based my patch on the videotheremin patch to get remote control of parameters... but i keep getting a BLANK space in the 'selectparameter' drop box. all my devices get detected, but none of the parameters. when i click edit max finds the parameters and everything works. same thing happens in the video theremin lesson patch. in edit mode occasionally a 'rescan devices' button will give me the list of devices i have in my set, but duplicated or in triple and only one 'batch' of devices are the real ones.

any ideas? thanks

Maybe you're using an older version of that abstraction. The one in the latest installs has a route or an unpack object added and seems to work fine again. I had the same problem.
