how to slice and have hits trigger like mpc?

i've read the manual cant figure this out

take a loop - slice, transients, built in -

but at this point - how to get the slices to trigger all the way through, but to cancel each hit - like an mpc?

you hit the key - and it plays all the way. unless you hit the key again, in which case it cancels it and starts the sample over

They are called Choke groups in the manual, p 242.

To adjust how Live behaves when slicing an audio le:
? Create an empty Drum Rack
? Add an empty Simpler or Sampler to the Drum Rack to create a single chain
? Add any additional MIDI or Audio Effects to this chain
? Adjust parameters in any of the devices
? Assign Macro Controls to any of the controls in the chain’s devices
? Drag the entire Drum Rack to the Library/Defaults/Slicing folder
You can create multiple slicing presets and choose between them in the Slicing Preset
chooser in the slicing dialog.

make a preset with release all the way up and the slice in choke group 1
