seriously does no-one think this would be cool, i use the this free one here:

here's why this is cool, it allows you to check the waveforms are right without bouncing down your mix to audio each time.

you can actually see phase cancellation, you can check the dynamics of your mix, you can tweak your synth and get visual feedback of what is happening


also unlike a lot of suggestions here it would not require a rewrite of live. It would be bling 8)

That seems like an easy thing to add as a plugin. There are a bunch of analysis plugins and free oscilloscope plugins available that can be used if they don't add a stock plugin within Live.

yeah i know that, but i don't really get it to work well.. i'd like a smooth scrolling trough wave-display, similar to how it looks in traktor f.e.
