man dude, can't get any normal type wobble out of this. seems like the filter isn't working the way i think it should. The grain one was cool too, do you just load whatever files up in there and turn knobs?

Edit: the "sync" knob's off/on is reversed. Got it!

Looks like he bailed out. I think some drama may have been involved. His blog is dead too.

Reaktor is asking you for a location to save the settings for the current ensemble you are using. If you specify the same directory as the one you loaded it from you may overwrite the factory ensembles. This allows you to keep your ensemble settings without losing the originals.

I agree it can be painful but it is kinda necessary.

How is that necessary? Every other plug-in I use saves the settings I make with the song I'm working on. They don't automatically overwrite the original...

It's because Reaktor is different from other plug-ins in that you don't just have the ability to save presets, but also the ensemble itself. So you can have different versions of it, meaning it needs to know if you are editing the original or making a copy etc.

I guess I understand why it puts up that save option but I still think that by default when you are using it as a plug-in in a DAW it should open locked with just access to the face parameters and if you want to alter the actual back end of the device then you unlock it and then those save options pop up, not right out the gate.

Are there any good book or video tutorials on how to build things with Reaktor? And could doing that help me better understand how synths and effects work? A lot of what I've researched before is really general and not hands on, or it's pointed at specific softsynths and that really hasn't helped either because it's never from scratch, it's always tooling around with already made presets. If I could start at a really basic level of building something and move up in complexity then I might really learn something. Or is Reaktor just too deep to approach with no programming background?

He was constantly uploading and then deleting his ensembles.... definitely a lot of drama.... I'm not in a position to comment really, but since all his ensembles were great and very popular, I can't help feeling that it was drama for drama's sake.

There a coiuple of "tutorials" by Hybrid on how to use that grain synth thing.

Though i think it's pretty obvious the hybrid guy doesn't really know that much about reaktor, still a good insight into how to use it though.

The wobble one, should work fine - you can change the filter type,.
tbh the filter is a bit shit. Myabe remove it and stick in your own, or a vst one after reaktor?

Can anyone recommend a very simple reverb in Reaktor? I was thinking about buying Audio Damage's Eos for its limited choices if that makes sense. I don't like to tweak verbs very much I guess. Or is Spacemaster just the best choice for a 'verb in Reaktor?
