I'm really enjoying the tab feature where you can take a tab and make it it's own window so smoothly and effortlessly and then put it back again. I also like the multi colored robotic eye that is watching me at all times!

This is also in Firefox for a while now (since version 3, maybe?).liveISlife wrote:I'm really enjoying the tab feature where you can take a tab and make it it's own window so smoothly and effortlessly and then put it back again.

Firefox is tired. I'm running the beta of Chrome (extensions!!!! Adblock & Autocopy) man that shit renders pages so fast it's like I got a hardware upgrade.
Re: New Google Chrome kicks serious ass!
Yeah, I've been using Chrome for everything. It's on all of my machines including my work machine. It really is a noticeable difference, plus I love the way it handles plug ins.

Yeah, that was my experience back when Chrome just came out. Out of interest, are you on Mac or PC? (with all the Mac/PC threads recently, I really should know this already3dot... wrote:welll..after a week with chrome...I'm back on ff...

Tried it, didn't find enough in it to switch from FF. Opera is also good, I just prefer the look and feel of FF. Chrome was buggy and I barely noticed any difference in loading or rendering times, perhaps a fraction of a second over FF, nothing so lightning quick that I had to pull out the mobile and text everyone to change IMMEDIATELY.
I find Safari to be the fastest browser, but I don't like it on Windows much either, finding more site incompatibilities with it than most others. Besides, Google are becoming the evil empire with many of their paid google ads linking to crapware and spam. I'm sticking with FF for now. It is the best balance of speed and useability and isn't badly bloated, although it's not as lean as it once was. This is on my Dell XPS Core2Duo machine running Vista 32 Extreme SP2, 4GB ram, NVidia 9400m graphics.

The advertisement blocker will disappear by time. Google is a marketing tool. Its their only source of income.
They want to track where you buy your things etc.

Re: New Google Chrome kicks serious ass!
installed Firefox 3.6 yesterday, gave it a spinn, well it takes like 5-6 times longer to start than Chrome, and it just crashed on me again.

Re: New Google Chrome kicks serious ass!
FF 3.6 works just as good as Chrome for me and no crashes. I think Chrome does render some really intensive flash graphics pages a tad faster but otherwise nothing to make me want to change.
