Why Macs are Sooooooo much better than Pcs

Q: Do any MAC-ophiles run internetless, highly tweaked, lean systems? (Similar to that PC users (myself included) sometimes/should adopt to get the best performance?

I suspect the answer is that there is no need to though was simply curious?

there is not much you can do, switching off airport, disabling a few background tasks, some claim disabling spotlight would also give speedbump, i never managed to discover a difference, though and deleteing as much unused crap from the drive to have more space for music is as much as you can do...

all that said i am not that much off a computer geek, and never felt the need to do anything on osx to get more out of my machine... Never in over 10 years of mac use for music only.

Christ. 99.999999% of PC users are never going to mod their system and could give 2 cold shits about doing anything but surfing the internet with their machines and printing out their TurboTax forms. ffs.

Of the remaining minority who actually do attempt to change/build/mod their own systems, 90% of those people don't know what the fuck they are doing.

Most pro PC folks who use the customize/change/mod/etc etc argument for why PCs are better than Macs have never done so but merely like to talk shit. Though, truth be told, they might have ventured so far as to change the skin on their Windows Media Player.

The main problem with Macs is that theyre grossly expensive. And you have to get all proper Mac parts and replacements. Theres no room for customisation and Apple make u pay thru the ass for it. Most PC users get defensive about it because its really annoying hearing some mac users talk about how supposedly better their systems are and know nothing about them (im shit-stirring btw )
