I also play a Breedlove AC250/SW-12 a 12 string. Nice for an Asian guitar. :D

Also have a Ibanez acoustic, but it's in desperate need of a great deal of work rendering it unplayable at the moment. I spent this year taking my guitars down to the local repair shop, one by one, this one has yet to make the constitutional.
Maybe a Carvin classical with midi capabilities might be in order this year...
Breedlove guitars suck balls. Ibanez make good electrics, but again, your taste in acoustic guitars is awful.

The Ibanez acoustic was given to me as a gift, as well as the Breedlove.
It's just with the Breedlove I was given a chance to play it. Being a lefty really limits choices, unless you live in big metro areas, which I don't.
It fit the price range and Id much rather a Better manufacture this is what I own.
Is this a repercussion of the Mac/Pc thread, in which case, I totally deserve, or are you simply a heartless twat?
And really, when it comes down to it, it's the heart and mind that make all the difference.
IDK, Macs don't make acoustic guitars yet, do they?

I always try to discourage people from learning lefty. there's no need. there's a topic almost as tasty as a Mac vs PC thread. people should not play lefty!!

I don't know those guitars, just trolling. even two guitars of the same model will vary. the best guitar is the one that's being played. the worst one is yours because you suck, your favorite band sucks and Macs suck.

yes.

how picky are people about picking a luthier?
edit - I just got off my ass and made an appointment to get 2 guitars setup this week. thanks to the thread! ;)

LMAO you're awesome!

yes.

And... I totally deserve this. I guess the question now is, should I ban myself from the forum forever, and delegate my time to this Max for Live, or just get a subscription to lesbian porn. Either one will probably leave me confused and sweaty...

It's one of those things we rarely/if ever do unless forced. It's like a new set of strings, didn't realize how much of a difference it can make.

As far as discouraging left handed playing.... after 26 years of playing crap/black guitars I'd have to agree. Old dog new tricks, too late now.
And what's up with black? Bad enough being a lefty, but for christ's sake, can't they make anything other than black?

Martin D-15, the supposed "ugly duckling". Stunning sounding instrument.

My baby is a Koa-bodied Taylor 420 that I got for Christmas in the early 90s to play bluegrass on. I'd gone into the shop with the intention of spending about $3K US on a Martin, but the moment my left hand hit this one, I knew it was mine. I kept putting it back on the rack and playing more Martins, but when it was all said and done, I saved myself $1500 and it went home with me. I knew *nothing* about Taylors at the time -- just that this was the best playing/sounding guitar I'd ever touched.

A Maton Australian cut away

http://www.maton.com.au/acoustics/austr ... eries.html

I bought it when travelling in Aus a few years back. Had it shipped directly to me in Perth
from the factory in Melbourne. It arrived an hour before I had to leave the country 8O

Absolutely lovely guitar.

It cost me the equivalent of £800 which saved me about £700 on the UK price :)

+1 for Takamine. They have extremely rich, wet, bassy tones that I love.

Mid 80s Fender Del Mar (thin neck like an electric, Strat style head). Love it!
