Seriously look into picking up a Namba. The Laptop and APC40 will fit in the rear partition, safely without damaging faders (there is a foam flap that separates the Laptop and APC40 (I carry my Axiom 25 instead). The dimension of the fast track will fit in the front compartment. Cables and headphones will fit. With all of that, the bag is still sturdy, so you don't have to feel worry about the backpack straps.Strew wrote:Also does the Mono EFX 365 DJ or the Headliner hold the apc40 and a laptop AND the m-audio fast track ultra(fast track dimensions are about 10" x 5.5" x 1.6" or 25.5cm x 14cm x 4cm)
(plus headphones, cables etc)?
Is there a bag big enough to fit them all in without faders etc getting damaged?

Can anyone confirm which Headliner bag fits the APC40?
There's the "Stashpack" and the "Multimedia Bag"
THANKS!

Hi
I have the Ableton version of the Headliner Stashpack. You will not fit a APC40 in there without putting a strain on the zips. To be honest I'm not overly impressed with the quality. Zips are fragile, mesh bag for accessories could easily get ripped. Some nice features but not a bag that will last and last. I've used mine just a few times and I am considering getting the Nambo or Mono.
I'm just a sucker for Abe branded merhandise.
Hope this helps.

The strain on the zippers with the APC inside is minimal. I doubt it would ever be an issue. I suppose the mesh of the inside pocket could get ripped, especially if you're transporting cats in your bag, but I've been using mine a lot and there have been no problems with the mesh so far.Lee Sullivan wrote:Hi

Spending $150 on the Ableton Headliner bag is one of the best purchases I've made in the past few years. It's one of those rare examples of a company producing and selling a product that is exactly what I want.
I can't understand how you think the zippers are fragile. I think every element of the bag is just nice. It's not military grade, it's just good stuff.

I think the zippers are fragile because I've compared them with others.
Someone else also posted here previously that the bag is not ideal for carrying the APC (it might have been someone from Ableton)
It's just a subjective opinion based on looking at other bags. Fitting a laptop, APC, Fireface, headphones, power plug and leads is tight for me.
Cheers

This fits my APC40, 15" laptop (should be good for 17" though), mouse, soundcard and other bits and bobs without much of a squeeze...

Well, a bit of a pull on the zips when fully loaded but nothing I'm worried about.

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the help.
Lee, that's the info I was looking for. I just tried to fit it in a Headliner bag and it barely went. Seemed like a mess-up to me.
As an aside, I wish they'd made the APC with slimmer side panels. Those things that bow out seem like a waste of space to me.
Ben

+1 Ive got one too and fit my APC40 , MBP , FIrewire 410, Sennheiser's, uberstand, wires, plugs etc.... all fine without too much 'strain' or my zippers being too 'fragile'.
i should probably go down to my local multimedia bag club and double check though

How about this one:
http://www.fusion-bags.com/products-in- ... ange-16159
Looks spacious and slick and the price is reasonable. It is not widely available though, i have to mail order it from far far away.
Any one have this bag? Any reviews?
