OT: Know of any good free movie clips to download for VJ?

Post by hacktheplanet » Thu Mar 17, 2005 9:02 am

I've been thinking a lot lately about VJing to enhance my live sets. There's a big one coming up in July, and I want to add a bit of VJing to the set to make it a little more interesting.

I found a freeware program called Neuromixer that can be MIDI controlled. It mixes video with various effects... Looks pretty neat. Now I've just got to find videos to mix! I'd REALLY like some old-school looking visuals, like those used in demos. That would be bad ass.

Anyone know of any free videos I can download that might fit? Thanks!

Wanted to add, Grid 2.01, nice little app. a lot like live on the surface as far as utilizing clips that are readily visible, links to midi, you can set up a midi track in live just to control the clips lots of fun, works well in osx.

I luurve archive.org. Esp. the prelinger archive, there's some amazing 50s educational footage for instance, great stuff. I even think the famous Duck and Cover atom bomb video is there.

I'm doing my own videos in Cinema 4D, Motion, Poser and Flash. Watching these .movs is a great way to get "inspiration."

Thanks for the link!
