Given the current level of human dissoultion into tech i think Until the End of the World is a very relevant Wenders flick to watch. Haven't been able to find it on dvd. Haven't watched it since the vcr died about a decade ago...still own copy on vhs. Soundtrack is quite soul wracking as well.

Yep, great movie, great soundtrack, very inspiring. Agreed about Downfall and The Lives of Others. I was just thinking the other night that German cinema has really produced some massively successful and critically acclaimed films in recent years. That scene in Downfall with Magda Goebbels - that broke me. I'll never be the same again after that film...
