Comp Keeps Shutting Down n Live not saving work! What the??

I am getting a ridiculous amount of warnings saying:

A major error has occurred... be sure to send this invisible crash log file in your report....
but then it doesn't even offer me a chance to send it to apple
the last five or six times Live has offered to restore my work but it's at least ten to fifteen minutes prior to the crash...

and my computer has frozen with the gray screen saying you need to shut down your computer hold the button... over 15 times over last two days?!?!

What is up with this.

I save often too...

I'm on Mac OS 10.5.8

2x2.8 GHz Quad Core
4gb 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM

Literally started a new track with loops...

i was resampling occassionally to a designated audio track

I use Kore and Guitar Rig 2 for audio...

i've tried fixing permissions, scripts, fold restructure, etc....

It's all good though because in five + years of using Live this is actually the first time I've really encountered enough bugs to drive me nutso...

Also...

I was getting lots of clicks and pops as I was editing the clip volume in the clip windo for 2 to 8 bar clips
I played around with my preferences to no end... it didn't seem like a buffer thing
And with two tracks of audio running with no plug ins at all I was anywhere between 8 and 16% of CPU...

Is this a snow leapord thing... I would get it, but waves wants $200 from me just to upgrade...

you'd think if you spent that much money on plug ins they would give you complimentary updates...
anyways...

hopefully there is a new update coming really soon cause this is wack... actually come to think of it... right when live 8 came out it was buggy as hell...

then it was cool...

and now it's...

Any help would be appreciated.

You think a total re-install might help?

I'm open to any and all suggestions.

Hi Ben,

please contact [email protected], .zip these 2 folders on your Mac and attach them:

user/library/logs/crash-reporter

user/library/preferences/ableton/live (your version)
