assigning a set of midi controls to all drum rack squares?

Post by sun_in_aquarius » Fri Jan 15, 2010 12:52 pm

hi all,
im currently preparing a live set for a gig.
i am wondering i fill up a whole drum rack pretty much with 16 pads for each song, and i want every sample box to be assigned to the same set of paramaters (start, transpose, length, loop) on my trigger finger. is there any way to copy the assignments to different boxes rather that clicking on 128 different boxes and moving the same knobs over and over on my trigger finger, really does my head in!
thanks in advance
jake

Yeah dude, there is. Go into the live library and find defaults>dropping samples>on drum racks, then I think you drop one instance of simpler set up the way you want it in there and then that will be the default patch when u drop a sample in there. I think... never actually done it myself

you have to open a blank drum rack, drop a simpler into the first pad, and then set that simpler how you want all your drum rack pads set, i.e. attack decay release, loop length volume, etc... then... drag the drum rack with this simpler onto the aforementioned presets folder, and if there is a preset in that folder, delete it, so the only one in there is the one for how you want it set up. i did this... should work... there is a youtube video that talks about this too...
