Happy new year Neil. The bass appears to be eating up a large amount of headroom and that's why you recorded it at such an overall low average level. Guess if it were louder, you would be clipping. Take some of the LF off at around 50-100 hz on the bass would afford you more room to push the master volume up. I'm not going to mention your improve again but will say that I enjoyed this mix emensely. Happy to see you're still at it. Thanks for sharing again.

Thanks for the suggestion, I had issues with the setup when this was recorded and I only had a quick listen back on my ipod before uploading (very professional as ever) so apologies if the LF is a little high ... I'll have a look at EQ-ing the master and uploading again, if not I'll just do the mix again on my home system.
