Absynth and Stylus RMX crashes

Using Live 4.11 on mylaptop woth the X-Station 25 as a soundcard.Absynth : instert an instance of absynth on a midi track, try to chance presets using live's FX view menu (not absynth GUI), Live freezes and I can't force quit(have to turn the laptop down using the power button). works every time.
Stylus RMX : in a song with about 5 tracks, 3-5 basic FX, I have a stylus RMX opened on a midi track but turned off. If I simply turn it on, Live freezes in the same way as above using absynth. First time, this happened when the song was playing but then it happened again with Live stopped. There was a monster CPU hit when I activated Stylus, and I noticed a similar hit when I simply unmuted an audio track. Tried to increase the buffer setting from 250 to 515 samples but the problem with Stylus remained.

Seems like it - and (no affence) i hope you ARE alone, since i'm saving up to Stylus RMX myself now - and now you just gave me cold feets on this. Would be nice if the Abletons can have a peak on this topic - Stylus RMX is here to stay - and should really cope with Live 4.x, so if they can insure us it's not Lives fault, i go for my copy of Stylus RMX pretty soon myself.

Btw, is it as good as they say? It almost seem too good to be true, but is it any drawbacks future owners should be aware of, in your opinion?

Hope you get some answers on this - i'll watch this topic from now on, for my own interest.

We have no problem with the newest update of Stylus RMX. Also there is nothing known about problems with the latest Absynths.

Just got 4.1.1 and NO problems with Stylus RMX. I'm using a Dual 1 gig mirror-door G4 and the CPU is only at about 15% using a demo song and one RMX.

I'm using Stylus RMX, Live 4.1.1 on a 1Ghz Ti Powerbook (1GB ram) with the RME Multiface and it seems to work fine. Perhaps the X-Station audio driver is suspect? try using built-in audio.

Cannot reproduce the Stylus RMX bug (at least when Live is stopped) but Absynth crash remains. What is strange is that a friend using Live on a 1 ghz titanium with the same OS version (10.3.3) can change Absynth presets from the Live reduced GUI popup list.

Just checked, and Absynth 3.01 works fine with Live 4.1 here. I can change presets via the Live menu with no crashes.

Now absynth 3.02 and Live 4.14.
just upgraded to 5.02 but I didn't try this yet.
