Why is that? Don't like the BCR?SubFunk wrote:well, that is exactly what some of us want to avoid.julienb wrote:buy a BCR 2000

BEHRINGER
if there is a way to avoid this company then i avoid it. even the BCR/BCF are (the only behringer) units that are OK, but the built is just well, behringer.
it's a hit and miss with their products, buying behringer is like playing the lottery, you never now when you hit one that works.

that would be Novation in my case(excluding Launchpad,no experience with that) :SubFunk wrote:BEHRINGER

two nocturns and one remote sl 37 where the knobs started to act strange(jumping) after the warranty ended.
no disrespect to Novation,i loved Automap, and would certainly love their controllers if they had something like Akai build-quality,and please :
more spacing between those knobs.even a Hobbit can't play with those.grrrrr.........
Re: The APC I want AkaiPro to build.
Same thing happened to my KS Rack.33tetragammon wrote:that would be Novation in my case(excluding Launchpad,no experience with that) :

Only to the effin Filter section though, some random fun sounds, but nothing usable. ever.

Love the concept of the BCR, but I bought it new and out of the box 2 rotary's where having problems (getting stuck, ghost jumps, ...).julienb wrote:

Other rotary's also start to have propblems
Sad thing is that I had some negative experiences with other Behringer products also (mixers, fx, ...).
I removed all behringer stuff out of my studio a few years ago (exept for the BCR that is) and live is easier.
Sorry, but you can't say behringer is reliable (only when you have one of the good units

my bcr is working well after 2 years. i only really use it in traktor...actually prefer using a mouse and keyboard to produce. the bcr handles my traktor setup perfectly. all midi controllers should hav led lights like the bcr. so useful.

same thing happened to my KS4 keyboard. Such a shame, Its such a deep VA synth, but the cost of repair just doesnt seem worth it.

Must have had a win with the DDM4000. Great mixer IMO, and MIDI on it is awesome!SubFunk wrote:BEHRINGER

A few edits... scrapped 4Device control sections ... only have two hands anyway. Dedicated tap tempo, loop scrub, loop In/out, transpose, a quantize section and tempo slider. the clip select section would be navigated almost like the 40 but only a row of 8 clips. Green is the selected clip, red are loaded clips in session view. The eight buttons on bottom by crossfade are user assignable as are 5 track control banks.
not quite an apc "32" anymore but more of what I'd like.

As for all the behringer discussion. Never touched anything Behringer except for some half decent patch bays. Big fan of Akai personally and don't see a reason not to stick with what I like. APC20 seemed a step in the opposite direction I would have liked Akai to go. Biggest advantage of the APC over the BCR imho is that the APC is dedicated to the software i use rather than an everything to everyone controller. That and the visual feedback.

guys, really, you should build yours.
you'd be so satisfied at the end.
midibox framework is well documented, full of experts and ... full open-source!
the last core module handles OSC, provides USB etc etc...

A lot of us just don't have time to do it unfortunately! You are lucky in that regard.julienb wrote:guys, really, you should build yours.

I'm involved in a lot of things too.ze2be wrote:Great, so you will build it for me then?julienb wrote:if you don't have time, just take it.

limits are in mind, really.I also want to make a controller, as you know. But with all the projects im involved in, I don't have time until about 9 months still. But you know, its easy to say: "just do it, I did!" Its not necessarily as easy for others, and a lot might not even want to do it at all!
I just want to encourage people to do that, because it is a very good way.
If you really want to make something, you can make it. I'm convinced about that.
