Hi Guys,
I responded in the other thread on the same topic, but here's the deal: Andy Kyte DID pass the message to the APC40 designers. We're in Culver City at Akai's offices discussing exactly these kinds of wishes.
I'll keep you posted.

well, by the time they get out of traffic this update should be released sometime in late 2013.

I am semi joking thru all this btw.

But if they could do this new feature isht with APC 20 why didnt they do all the smart features with APC 40 straight of the bat (not the bat tone deft seems to imply he will use on me)? Sorry for havinga strong opinon btw. it was a free world last time i looked but if you want to take the michael go ahead...

it seems that it was an idea that they thought of AFTER the APC40 was released. surely they'd learn a few things after doing the first one.

you heard directly from a developer that they know and understand your request. that's pretty cool. there's not much more you can do than that, maybe set Jesse's boss' pets on fire and force him to make Jesse implement that feature.

What about hollowing out Roger Linn and getting David Ike to wear his body suit? Could that help to hurry AKAI along any?NO! We could make a advocado dip outa the left overs (or will that affect Linn drum 2s launch.)?YES! Would that help traffic congestion in Culver city? You can't Possibly think Akai will ever update the apc.... They won't even create dedicated drivers for their gear. I swore to myself a while ago that I wouldn't get anymore Akai gear after waiting a year and a half for a simple fix for the MPD32... (But Then) I saw that nativeKontrol template for the apc, and THAT is the only reason I bought the apc. And I have to say, I love the nativeKontrol apc-CL2+TC2 template/app. It really brings mouse-free use to Live.

just the question why the working together of ableton and akai was not able to supply such a set of functions in the beginning.. we live in the year 2010.. back than this was considered the time of interstellar travel..

instead we see crashing software and the most stupid controlers ever seen.. you cant even change the midi channel on them.. no displays.. no multcolor led´s ..usb 1.0 protocoll real hot shit... the future is now

so the smartness is in the marketing department now and not in the development team..
optimized stupid products for ..ähh users...
and what rhimes on user?

max for live user.. buy max.. buy it now..

actually seeing all this.. i think ableton is done.. they ve finaly arrived in the trash department.. from the toy department to the trash department... behringer 2.0..with user content

Hasn't the ability to open and close Group Tracks to the APC (by holding down the Track Select button) been added in the latest Live Beta and wouldn't that count as some sort of enhancement?
