controlling external synths

Post by herrreinholt » Thu Jan 21, 2010 3:31 pm

hi there,

i´d like to write a maxpatch (m4l) that allows me to control a Sequential Cirquits synthesizer from within live. the Synth is fuly editable with midi but no fun to programm it on the synth itself.

I have almost no idea about max/msp and would need someone who points me at the right. This could be a specific tutorial or any other tip where to start at.

thanks,
hr

Which SCI Synth do you have? I made a patch for a SixTrak, but it's not ready yet. Should work for a Multi-Trak too.

I'm afraid I don't have enough time to work on the device, but I can send you the unfinished one if you like. It's almost ready, but completely untested. Let me know if you want it anyway.

thanks for the patch, but it doesnt work here.

First i create a midi track with the right midi chanel, i play and i hear notes.
Then i drop your patch into the Track and i can´t play anymore.
What did i wrong. Do i have to make some special settings?
Midichanel etc ?

You need to create 2 Midi Tracks to theLP 1 for the panel and 1 for the Midi Notes (if you´re talking about the LP editor) as the editor is a midi effect, and it can only receive CC from LP no notes
