Padkontrol/Farmpad Question

I have a padkontrol that i have unfortunately mucked up the USB port on. This has not been a big problem cause i have just used it with my m-audio uno midi interface. BUT now i've been wanting to set it up with farmpad and am having some issues. I guess terminal is just seeing the uno interface and i says "Error connecting to padKontrol input". Anyone know if i could get around this some way?

farmpad NEEDS the usb...

because farmpad still allows you to use the midi plugs of the pK as a midi i/o port.

there may be NO workaround mate, just have the usb repaired...

Shit. Yah i was worried about that.

I took the padkontrol in to the local music store here the guy told me it would be more expensive to repair the padkontrol and i should just buy a new one! I highly doubt that its very hard to fix. I opened it up and the USB still works if you just squeeze it a little. Probably just a little soldering job would do the trick but looking at it i cannot find any connections that look like they're broken, which makes me think I may need to purchase a new USB port and solder that in there myself...... anyway. to wrap this up. Does anyone know if its possible to get a USB port for one of these things? or should i just forget it and use it with the UNO?

USB ports are available for soldering yourself in good electronic shops and online.
