I don't understand about "dethroning" Microsoft. Microsoft has been a godsend with the PC.

Because we need to find new methods to increase the class gap. If we get rid of Microsoft and by extension PCs, that will leave Apple and only the rich will be able to afford computers. The lower classes will then have to go back to learning forgotten skills like beating their laundry on rocks and pyramid building.

I don't understand about "dethroning" Microsoft. Microsoft has been a godsend with the PC. There are other browsers out there, as there have always been. Use them if you want but there is nothing to be gained in dethroning Microsoft. Actually, I hope they make Explorer better and crush Google "No freedom of the press in China" Chrome.

Have you ever noticed that the Mac vs PC debate focuses on the hardware, and the cost of running a system? It's NEVER about OSX versus Windows. Windows is a bad joke and the only reason we use it is that Linux doesn't have apps like Ableton Live, Photoshop etc etc. and drivers for all our hardware. For running a custom programmed setup or a webserver linux is a great choice.

OSX is the reason a Mac is so expensive, IMO. The hardware is basically the same as a nicely built windows machine that still costs far less. That's why I decline to buy Mac....I'm not paying $1000 for an OS, no matter how nice and blingy.
