How can you achieve the effect he uses here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjRKLHUqYAE
At about 10 seconds he does it and he does it a lot through out.
Its kind of a delay or loop thing am I correct?
Just trying to replicate it in a song I am using.
Thanks!

Hey marconk.
Let the beat repeat into your life.
Iam pretty sure that after a hour or so having a mess-about you will soon have it on lock.
Grab a two bar loop and stick a beat repeat on it.
Try get a two bar loop of just kicks n high hats.
That way your ears are going to really pick up on the changes you make with the beat repeat.
Start with the interval at 1/8ths then just work round the clock to 2 bars.
Then work with the offset/grid/variation to extend the effect.
Thats the way i figured it out.
Then play with all the other controls on it to make it your own. ie-chance/gate/pitch/pitch delay.
Then you can apply some delay/crusher/ chain chain chain chain to get the effect you want.
Thats the fun with it.
Play Play Play.

Hi..Yeah.Beat repeat is what it sounds like...However if you don't know about Dummy clips, you will be limited in many ways...Go here. http://vimeo.com/user375586/videos/sort:date .There are a few vid.s that are rather specific on understanding DuMz...As mentioned it should be easy to figure out the way to load beat repeat to get what you need in regards to speeds..JON
