definitely a nice chill little track. I can't give too much advice I guess, as I can't even get my own stuff to sound too good
Maybe beef up that arpeggiating synth a little, give it a little more edge?

Technically, I don't hear anything that needs to be improved. It sound fine just the way you mixed it.

Agreed, it's my first original track ever .. but no excuses!! back to the drawing board :)

I also noticed some empty sounding parts, probably needs some sort of synth pad to take up some space..

Some vocals/lyrics would be great.. I'm in the process of setting up a vocoding/autotune type setup so I can use my own voice but hopefully sound like a pro :D

There's nothing I like more than vocoder and (tastefully or interestingly done) autotune. Looking forward to hearing some of your stuff!

Follow my bandcamp link to hear my music which has a lot of vocal manipulation. (Check out "The Outsider", "The Last Flight Home", or anything from my "Games For Smaller Spaces" album.)

Let me know if you have any questions. I'm not a pro, but I love all that stuff.

very bold sounds vlantis! i listened to ur ablum & songs you've suggested.. one thing i noticed is that they're all sound very interesting.. i think adding more melody (which is difficult to come up with - i'm having difficulty with this myself) would make your tracks sound GREAT!!

i thought this was really good.
I'm not THAT experienced but what i've been realizing (maybe some people would agree with me here maybe not)
i've started to see that what separates the average to the AMAZING is how "full" you make ur music.
by full i don't mean dense music cuz that should be moderated like most other things, but add many elements that are either unexpected or varying of what's already playing. for example, most electronic music is full of beat drops. i LOVE beat drops....so make em PHAT and tite!!!!
the first beat drop on ur track was cool but maybe you could make it even more crazy (just a suggestion, not saying this is the right way at all) but maybe swirl up to a louder volume at the end suddenly cut it off and have dead silence for the last 1-2 beats then BAM you've got your self a crazy a@@ drop...of course if yuo DON"T want the extreme drop that is 100% okay.
so if you listen to it your self and analyze all the things you put in there and think "yeah, that is the way EYE like it" then you shouldn't even want to ask for anyon elses' opinion because F*** what other people think about ur music it's all about you...!

that's my little "theory"

another detailed review! Thanks guys! i do agree about making the sound a bit edgier.. and making the sound fuller.. it does sound empty.. i need to develop the skill to make it sound fuller.. it shouldn't be too difficult.. the extreme drop is a great idea, i'll try that also.. and about making the song the way i like it, that's a good advice because whenever i created something that i actually liked, people liked as well.. funny how that happens..

thanks again Frad :D

thanks for your reply :)

refering to your post:
I already worked with Fruity Loops before, therefore I could collect some experiences ;)

now some words to your track:
In my opinion it is very nice, a cool melody, although i would change the beginning a little bit...the single passages are to short.

Just one question regarding the effects you used: did you work with an compressor (3:38)?

Sorry, but I'm still not that experienced in working with fruity loops yet ^^

greetings,
Niclas
