changing the size of the launchpad's "red border"

so I notice how depending on whether you have the APC or launchpad connected, the size of the border changes. is this something written in their automap script (editable)? or is it deeper than that?

I ask because I've reprogrammed the bottom half of my launchpad to play drum racks and other instruments so would like to make the border four rows smaller. Thanks

it'll be written in one of the launchpad's midi remote scripts which are all effectively encrypted into a pyc format. I've decompiled all of the smaller ones - but I'd have to pay to get the larger scripts decompiled; I'm currently waiting for ableton support to get back to me on that.

Why is my border yellow/orange and how to get it red?

The color seems based on which 'Control Surface' slot you assign it to. So if it is the top one, you get one color. Bottom one is another. I went with pink, pretty nutso hahaha

I,m looking for a launchpad with 256 and even better 512 pads to illiminate the need to worryy about the borders they are far to small for me. I,m running 50-60 tracks 1-200 clips.
