Nice! To be honest, in this thread I find it less interesting to see the equipment and more interesting to see the whole music environment and whether it looks like an inspiring place - wood floors and brickwork ftw! :)

I concur

^^^, oh i am actually very much on this one, too.

the space is (at least to me) from an extreme and utter importance, when i see certain places / rooms etc. i am not surprised by the musical outcome at times... any good professional studio is aware of the influence and is designed accordingly. (one of my personal faves i know is the strong room in london, you walk in and you are already inspired and in the mood to make some awesome freaky music)

but well, here are some super cool places around in this thread. :D

Really? Not one but two Chapman sticks?

Jerk.

lol. The light wood one on the left is actually what I call a pStick. 'p' for 'pseudo' or 'pedro'. A friend of mine (first name, Pedro, of course), is an amateur luthier living in Germany. He makes amazing custom basses. He was looking for a new challenge and I said, "hey, why don't you make me an 8 string bass Stick?" He did an amazing job and it's got bottom end from hell.
I came for the
But stayed for the :x

yeahhaha. lol. They are super warm; leaning towards melancholy. I actually just sold my Prophet08, and haven't put back my Keystation61 yet.

The space is up in our attic (old Victorian brick home); where we have our home office and lounge/tv areas. What you're seeing there is just one part of this big, open space. Acoustically it's amazing. I was worried at first, but there's no mad reverberation going on; just the right amount. There's lots and lots of angles going on throughout the ceiling, which probably act in the same way as those multi-angled ceiling baffles you see at some concert halls; aiming yet deflecting sound, lol.

I'm definitely spoiled with this space. Before we finished off the attic I was in the basement. You don't want to see pics of that, trust me.

yea quite bright. Maby little over bright on the high end or then its just me. But still great headphones. I allso have Sennheiser hd-25 II:s for bedroom (well livingroom) DJ'ing and mp3 player use, but i like the 990's better for making music.

i thought i post a recent pic of my very humble, all i need mini setup with a little surrounding this time...
nothing really changed since i have put it up, just another little tidy job (cables) a while ago, and one more external HD drive i bought in the summer...
this setup is now exactly where i want to have it for my home use, and i don't see it changing in any way anytime near.
(sorry for the not so great iPhone pic)

p.s. those light drops are coming from a disco ball that used to be in the DJ booth of the soniclab, now hanging in my living room :D
