Hey guys, i do like to spend one last sentence here about all my raving for genelecs, when it comes to monitors, always take yourself a LOT of time researching and foremost listening to as many models as you possibly can, don't rush, it should be the one item you never need to change anymore and should become literally a part of you, plus: always make your own choice!!! you need to work with them for years to come!

Remember: it is the most important investment you will ever make in your studio!

That's right. Virus sits nicely on a Griffin Elevator laptop stand. And the black block under the virus is a MaM mb33 which lies on its back and is for sell at the moment.

Thomann didn't have normal SL 37's in stock when i was ordering mine, so i had to go with the supacool fluoro color (glows in UV, thank god not in dark) one :D
And i wanted the 37 key model because it fits perfectly on the keyboard slide thingy of my Ikea desk.. Well after lowering it for 3 cm or so, but still quite perfect.

Agree 100% but excellent monitors with crap sound card = fail.

When I went from Genelec 8030/m-audio interface to Genelec 8030/Apogee Duet, I had an epiphany:)

yes absolutely!

the strength and quality of the signal chain should be equal throughout.

I'm still getting used to 8030's and wondering if this Emu 1212m is worth replacing for an itb setup?

IMHO you'll have to spend quite a lot more to get any major improvement. The 1212m is an excellent sounding card

hot damn! Nice space indeed.

I haven't posted my own setup in a while. Mainly because it's such a mess. Anyways I did a bit of tidying up. Here's a crappy phone pic. And sorry, no cats. More of a dog person myself. :runs for cover:
