follow actions not working

this is odd - follow actions that are not working. i've got 8 clips in a group, each 8 bars long. the first clip has the follow action time set to 16 bars, with only one choice (go to next clip), probability 1-0. this one works fine.

the next 7 clips are set the same: time set to 4 bars (though i've tried 2, 6 and 8 as well). choices are * (any) and no action, probability 1:1. most of the time, clip #2 plays and plays and plays. i've let it go and the clip has repeated itself 30 times without playing another clip. in a few rare occasions, i stop all the clips, restart the sequence and 3-4 random clips are played before one clip just plays repeatedly. i haven't had problems with follow actions before, though that was prior to upgrading to 4.1.1. this a problem with this version?

yes. i also realized that i had Reason rewired as well. i'll email a set later today.
