I don't want Warp Markers..
I don't want Warp Markers..
Can I not just import an audio clip into a session, tell Live what BPM it is and have it leave me alone? I have wavs that are at 100bpm let's say. I set the session to 100bpm. Import the audio, but Live determines that it's 90bpm. Wrong! So, I try to change it and Live won't let me change.
The thing is, I want the clip to loop, so I have to have the Warp setting on. Very annoying.

i'm not sure why you can't change the tempo, that seems strange.
it won't always autowarp things correctly, but then just do it manually
you can get it to loop with follow actions, but i find the don't work quite right unless the warp button is on. so you could try warp mode with no markers, loop off, follow action to play again

make sure there is only one warp marker that is yellow at 1.1
delete all others you can right click on the first one and select "warp from here (straight)" and it sould get rid of all the rest
then you will beable to enter the tempo manually

+1. Do that.somejerk wrote:you should be able to simply enter 100 into the tempo/bpm of the wav. it may still be warped, but it will warp it to the specified bpm.
I just went through this with a bunch of stuff i moved over from my MPC. Works great.
Re: I don't want Warp Markers..
put 1 warp marker at the first downbeat..
enter BPM in clip box...
(if you don't actually know the tempo
drag the clip bpm box until it fits nicely over the grid..)
done.
play with warp modes and settings to get the least degradation to the audio..

Re: I don't want Warp Markers..
Are the clips named with the bpm? if so Live will switch..
