dude, really. i told you, use your ****ing brain once...

every doctor has to check out the patient he has in detail to know what could be wrong with him. else he could kill the patient.

every live set, with every combination of hw and sw in use, and a user playing it, is a different combination of causes. each one behaves differently, and thus can reveal a sw bug in every place, that never showed itself before.

and if YOU report a bug, then it's obviously YOUR bug. it is important, f.e., to contact YOU, when a fix is found. to ask you, then "is it fixed now".

it's really very simple logic. how hard is it to understand that? really?

we all know that there are issues, no need to repeat it over and over..
so what more do you want other than the public excuse by Ableton?

Oh my.

If I wasn't defraging my studio drive, I wouldn't be reading all this. Some of you guys like to discuss a lot. Thats nice and all, and I like to read it if I have the time.
Just wanted to chime in that I had support answering within 5 hours today, and after my reply, the next answer was within an hour.

Its all about being polite, to the point, and willing to work with them. I recommend it. ;)

since it dont looks like that i get a stable version of live 8 before the end of the year 2009, which is 8 month after purchase ..i think it would be apropiate to get my upgrade money back... if i wouldnt loose too much important content i would have returned L8 back in july... after the crash gig... this changed file format is even worse than the crashing.. or.. the situation is so fucked up because of the new fileformat.. and the new fx/ instrument rack format.. all work gone when going back to L7.. but no fun possible with L8

I dont want to get frustration any time i start L8...sofar with each version of L8 i run within minutes into a situation wher something is not working as expected or some data is lost or a crash here and there...or or...

there is really no way to avoid to be frustrated theese days.. either you dont work with live at all.. dont touch all the nice tracks started in the summer time.. and thats actually the material i like to work on now... or you live with the trouble.. crashes.. erased portions of loops.. not working timecode.aso aso aso

its a real pain .. and i hope i can pay this back somehow..

Hi ,

all do you speak about your problem with live sound like corruption memory ( have you check your mackbook with your test material dvd, 2 second dvd) with macosx, or drive errors ( Have you check your permission and drive error with disk utility?)

Cheers

nah, it has to be live. it can only be abletons fault, all the time. 100%. and not his for not checking his environment for possible causes for the bugs. you know, he wants to only make music, not fixing issues when he has issues. if his car breaks down, he wants the mechanics to come over and fix it for him at home, including bringing, most likely, a new car. he doesn't have time to drive to them, maybe have a day without a car, and such. you know, big business stuff is important.

bah :)

he could unplug all his devices for once, and try to work on some tracks just without any vsts (and changed the folder). if it STILL crashes all the time, then we're closer to "it's live's fault". but it could still be your point: crappy memory.
