Aha..there it is

" ReWireSlaveOff "

So putting an " ReWireSlaveOff " off command in the option text will disable the urge of live to be a slave than?

But... where is the options text? or where do you place it?

Thanks, but I don't see an options.txt. Do I have to create one and put the "ReWireSlaveOff" in there for it to work? I'm sorta paranoid about totally screwing something up by just blindly trying it out...edit: I just tried doing that and it still rewires. :(

Yup, you need to create the file if it doesn't exist and make sure it's a plain text file with no headers or anything (e.g. *don't* use Apple TextEdit for this as it'll add lots of formatting stuff). You need a dash before every option on each line too, e.g.

-AbsoluteMouseMode
-MemoryBasedUndo

Edit: just saw you're on a PC, so ignore that TextEdit comment, I guess you can use Notepad fine for this... just guessing, like.

Last thing that comes to mind, it doesn't have to be in the 8.1.1 folder, but in exactly the same version as you're launching... e.g. I'm launching L8.1.2b4 and my options file is in the corresponding preferences L8.1.2b4 directory.
