The lemur is a butt ugly piece of kit that makes me eyes hurt and the monome is a work of art that will no doubt grace the hallowed halls of MoMA.

But it will be just as disposable and replaceable as the bcr2000. because you'd have to be living in fairyland to think a frequently gigging musician who uses a bcr2000 doesn't have to replace them from time to time. Not so for Kenton controllers, which are also more 'performable' imo btw... much better action on those dials for creative sweeps and such.

says the *b0unce* tard who hasn't so much as fingered the iPad but swears it's going to be just a toy.
better action for creative sweeps. God that's priceless. In fact, that needs to be my new sig.
lol.
I'm not 100% what your exact point was, but mine was that many users don't need the built-like-a-tank qualities of the Lemur, something like an iPad, which will probably have the same build quality as a macbook/pro, will suffice for lots of on-stage use. Some really demanding users will definitely still need something like a Lemur, but a huge section (the majority?) of previous customer base won't.dum wrote:80
sure, it's going to be fine for alot of people. You're missing the point of my post though.
before I check your link, I'm gonna guess it's daft punk picture of their setup - right ?

yes. and I agree with that. I've said as much throughout my posts in this thread. My analogy was about knowing what you need, and saving your criticisms accordingly.8O wrote:I'm not 100% what your exact point was, but mine was that many users don't need the built-like-a-tank qualities of the Lemur, something like an iPad, which will probably have the same build quality as a macbook/pro, will suffice for lots of on-stage use. But you have no idea of the durability or lack thereof when it comes to the iPad. You're totally talking out of your arse.dum wrote:

I've never used the Lemur although I've seen it in action up close many times and know enough about it to say the things I've said in this thread. I don't spread false rumors about it though in order to justify things like my investment in an overpriced product which may become obsolete by a newer, more affordable, and very promising device.dum wrote:btw delicioso, how often have you used a Lemur ?
I'll take your silence as a ''Never'' which is very amusing considering your post above
