Been listening to his stuff for awhile now, used it in a few downtempo DJ sets. He's a good producer for sure. Have you ever heard Jon Hopkins? Another producer in a similar vein.

Yeah, it's been awhile since I tripped across a electronica producer that has some kind of feeling and emotion behind the music (to my ears).

No, I haven't heard Jon Hopkins but if it's like this music I will def. check it out.

You guys have any specific Jon Hopkins album recommendations? I'm previewing a couple tracks on iTunes and nothing is really grabbing me, but iTunes isn't known for posting the meat of the song in previews. The previews sound a little more on the meditative side than the emotional side like I get out of Chris Zippel, but I know music hits us all differently.

I feel like I'm really opening up to you guys here. :)

iTunes did better previewing on the m-seven tracks. Thanks for that recommendation too. :)

I like his "Contact Note" album a lot, probably one of my favorite albums. Check out Joey Fehrenbach too, sort of similar style.

Jon Hopkins 'Insides', my fav album from '09. Just nicely produced ambient with some fine moments of tensions and power.

Very tidy musics.
