How to have a better sound when djing ?

Hi everybody,

I'm dijing with ableton live 8 and i have some problème with my sound.

Matérial :

- MacBook Pro OSX 10.6.2

- M-audio connectiv.

-APC 40 / UC33.

My sound is worst than CDJ why ? how could i improve my sound (i use only 320kbs tracks) ?

there could be many things that are causing this... are you using an EQ3. EQ3 is an analog modeling EQ and will color the sound. try out tarekiths DJ EQ3.8... http://www.macosxaudio.com/forums/viewt ... 27&t=45177. also, waht are you using to warp your tunes? try using complex PRO to warp, or simply use repitch like a traditional dj. make suer you have good headroom, and you arent running into the red on the mixer. also, make sure your effects are off when you arent using them. any sort of processing of audio will color your sound. 320kbps is very good. you really shouldnt be ablet to tell much of a difference between that and CD wuality, even tho there is a slight difference. good luck!
