Re: Usine V5 is out !!!!!!!!
Is there any multitouch monitor for a decent price that's compatible with usine? Does it make any sense to use Usine without multitouch?
Re: Usine V5 is out !!!!!!!!
Most so called "multi touch" displays at this point are really dual touch. I do believe that we are on the verge of affordable true multi touch consumer solutions, and there are already some affordable "all in ones" and underpowered tablets on the market.
There's a huge thread on the subject here:

Otherwise, Usine is perfectly usable even without a touch screen at all, but single, dual touch or true multi touch makes it even better.
Even without a touch screen, the flexibility as an audio processing environment is awesome, and the extremely customizable interface can be used in many ways, including just as a user interface for your audio and midi processing needs or even as a streamlined control surface and visual interface for Live.

and be sure we ll get lots of touch screen in this multitouch year, usine is by
far the most usefull software to use them at full potential, but as guru said, it's not only limited to that kind of uses...

usine really is the underdog. not alot of people even heard it exists.
no touch controllers here yet, but shit how much can a portable ok sized multi/dual touch screen cost, really?
