Another idea :
If you can assign a range of notes on your controler's knob , you can trigger several dummy clips with it.

The rack idea with autopans seems the best, although.

indeed. when ever i feel very uninspired, i just drop that device onto something, and play around with it. often introduces some new groovy rythm-patterns when applied on some non-simple rythm, always fun.

great for some sidechain like effects on baselines and similar, too.. :)

I'm loving the rack chain and midi chain select zones technique! The possibilities of all the other effects I could load into a rack chain and assign a controller to are so cool... I've really only scratched the surface of Live. Big thanks again for the tips. This forum is a great resource.
