Launchpad Nonome.

Do you need Max 4 Live to be able to run the Launchpad through Nonome?
Still cannot decide between the Launchpad and the APC 20 when it comes out.

Yep.
I haven't got one, but my understanding is that the monome works with OSC, so in order to run monome apps an M4L patch is required to translate the OSC data into MIDI and back again.
If I'm wrong, I'm sure others will correct me....

Wrong. M4L has nothing to do with using Nonome. You run it with Max runtime which is free. Nonome acts as a OSC > MIDI translator.

I have run OSC without max4live before with TouchOSC with my ipod.
