Adjusting the buffer size
Adjusting the buffer size
Adjusting the buffer size, seems to change the delaytime between the dry signal and the wet return signal.
Why? there is nothing going outside of ableton and ev erything seems to be out of sync...

Re: Adjusting the buffer size
What? nobody has this problem?
hmmm what about the "plug in delay compensation"...is there something wrong with me here?
anyway...

Re: Adjusting the buffer size
close and relaunch Live?
reboot?
google latency?
reboot?
google latency?
Re: Adjusting the buffer size
hehehe I know about latency man but internal audio that just goed through the sends to the returns should not be delayed AT ALL now should it?
Re: Adjusting the buffer size
it should at least be compensated to be "phase rein" to get a nice german word from the shelf...
Re: Adjusting the buffer size
even though you say "there is nothing going on outside of Ableton", isn't there? I mean you have an audio interface of some kind right? Even if its the onboard audio its still technically outside of Live and has to process... audio. If you start fiddling with audio settings like the buffer size, you can expect there to be a difference of some kind. I've seen DAWs (besides Live) crash from changing the buffer. Not every time, but sometimes, especially if changed while audio is playing back.
Re: Adjusting the buffer size
Ok, that seems like a considerable reason, it's just that I never used to experience this difficulty up untill live 8, weird stuff
Changing the buffer size while playing audio, ok, that is not an error you cannot make this thing do everything I can work around that, no problem but this delay. The only solution is delaying everything, all tracks, exept the return tracks...let's see if that works

Re: Adjusting the buffer size
good luck.
It might just be something freakish. If you haven't already, save your set, close Live, wait a minute or two and relaunch. No sense getting worked up over a random glitch. If it keeps coming back... well thats a different matter.

Re: Adjusting the buffer size
Agree with you on the "one time bug" thing but this is a continuous problem that ,as far as I'v ever seen, Logic nor Cubase etc.. ever has...

Re: Adjusting the buffer size
also , about to post a new thread on this, :
when you route the audio, from wich you tap the send signal to the return track, to "master" instead to a group track the delay time changes...
whahaha what is this people...?
weird stuff.
