Very interesting concept. The bottom freqs worked very well but the sythn's were a bit too loud and seemed unbalanced with the rhythm track(s). The overall sound was very sterile and dry but I think that was your intent. Perhaps a tiny eq attenuation of the upper freqs at around 5k will soften it up a bit. Very different and unique. Thanks for sharing.

you think its too loud? i screwed a lot with that lead. because its the main event in that track i thougt of giving it some extra presence in the end...

rhythm track = percussion/hats ?

Its different which is good, but as mentioned the percussion - which should be the driving force in dance music (imo) gets lost in it and so it sounds kinda flat. I was sat there wanting it to do a bit more at times, but its close to there.

Even though the synth is the main part it should still sit in the mix with a good balance. And yes, rhythm is the drums and other supporting inst. Just as Re.mark eluded, the rythm section drives dance music. You just need to either soften the synth a bit or bring up the rythm tracks. Mix is an art and you could find a balance so that the synth is still featured but doesn't overwhelm the mix as a whole. Don't get it twisted, I liked the track very much. Just offering suggestion and as usual, it is only my opionion. Not the rule. Keep at it.

i love the texture of the synth and music but the hi hats distract from that.

yeah. i know what you mean. i thought so too. but i don't think the hats are too loud...
but what could i do about that? without the hats i think it would lack of punch and drive.

the only thing i can think of is making the hat pattern simpler. but actually i like it the way they are...

yeh i like the hi hats however making it simpler would bring the texture out.

remember there is always other tracks you could use those hi hats on.
