Launchpad Freezing up... how to delete library preferences?

hello,

I had my launchpad connected to my macbook pro. and it fell (not a very long way!) And my macbook came up with this error that the usb device was using up to much power and would be disabled. Well, now the launchpad is broken... the buttons start dancing and it does not register... and I am sending it in to get it fixed. But I have connected another launchpad and it is having problems. It freezes up after a while. A friend said it might be because of the system preferences on the macbook. Does anyone know where I can delete the preferences in the Library for Launchpad? I cant find them... I was worried that my usb hub might have been affected, but my other usb devices work fine with it.. e.g. my midi keyboard. But the other Launchpad works okay on another Mac... so I suppose the problem must be on my computer...

hmmm... searching for a plist file with any words that have to do with the launchpad... novation... nothing shows up on the entire drive... seems like I am looking for the wrong thing...

any ideas what the cause of the errors might be? Is it a similar bug like in the other thread? the launchpad works for maybe 10 sec. and then it the lights start to freeze, keeping their functionality, and then after a while everything freezes up.

I too am starting to get an issue with my launchpad freezing.
It normally occurs a couple of hours after being connected and in use. It'll get to point where the lights freeze but it retains its functionality but then soon after it loses that too. If I unplug and replug it works for a moment and then continues with the same issue. If I repeat this a few times it doesn't appear on at all.

The comp I'm using is all mostly MIDI clips with only 2 audio tracks though the singlas fired are powering clips in Resolume as opposed to anything within Ableton.
The machine I'm using is a new (July '10) MBP i7 4GB ram.

Is there a fix to this at all or will restarting the machine be my only option? I would hope to think not the latter as I'm going to be performing with this set up soon and don't want the embarrassment of having to restart my machine!

Well for starters, I would run Disk Utilities and see if that helps..
Also, the possibility of Lives Preferences may have been broken with LP. (User/Library/Preferences/Ableton/Live/Preference.cfg
