ableton audio engine cuts off

Helli everyone, once in awhile, while using ableton the audio engine cuts off. I checked my settings and everthing is fine and when i turn the engine back on and select my audio interface (audio after a few minutes it cuts back off. After i turn off and restart my macbook and open live again everything is back to normal. Can anyone please help me and tell my why this is happening, luckily it never happened to me while i'm djing live but am afraid it will sooner or later. Much appreciated...

Hi,

- which exact version of Live do you use?
- can you reproduce the problem with your Mac´s internal soundcard as well?
- which audio interface do you use?

Sorry for not mentioning anything before...no it doesn't cause this problem on the internal soundcard and i use ableton live 8.8.1 and my audio interface is NI Audio 8 plus i run everything on the latest version of snow leopard, and might i add it was causing this problem before i updated anything in the past. Thanks.

Hi Noogstar,

have you tried if reinstalling the driver 2.3.14 solves the issue?
If not: is the Audio DJ 8 still listed as an active device in OS X audio/midi setup when the problem occurs?
