I agree with you, although I think synchro's point has more to do with the supposed high ground Apple fanatics have taken in the past about teh wonderful superiority of Apple, when in fact they are in the same boat as all other electronics manufacturers.

Eh, it's just another Apple hater trying to find some other reason to hate on Apple. Apple's been promoting their recyclable components but I've never heard them claim that their manufacturing morals are any higher than any other electronics manufacturer. In fact it should just be assumed that any company that moves their manufacturing to China is going to have some labor practices that not everybody agrees with. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a company with manufacturing in Asia that is a shining example of workforce moral code.

The dead worker, Sun Danyong, 25, worked in product communications at Foxconn Technology Group, a Taiwanese firm that makes many Apple products at a massive factory in the southern city of Shenzhen, near Hong Kong.
Sun was responsible for sending iPhone prototypes to Apple, and on July 13 he reported that he was missing one of the 16 fourth-generation units in his possession, the newspaper reported. His friends said company security guards searched his apartment, detained him and beat him, the paper reported.

Apple Inc. responded Wednesday by saying its suppliers are required to treat workers with dignity and respect.
