Multiple instances of FM 8 share arp and Morph pad

I have the FM8 "1" on track 1...Another instance of it on track 2, called FM 8 "2". I record a bass line on track 1. all is cool. BUT, when I start to record a new kybd sound on track 2 using the "arp" activates the Bass line on track 1 as well as the kybd patch on Trk 2. I have tried to change the midi channel of the two of the tracks, but can't seem to resolve the issue. Does anyone know what I need to do for this..? Thanks
