i see a simple definition of dj, that tells exactly that: it's name. which is quite important, not? else, what's the name good for?AceLuby wrote:And I went to the simple, "if I play pre-recorded music, I'm a DJ, if I'm not, I'm not". The medium hasn't mattered since the invention of the 8 track. I still haven't seen a single definition that says a disc jockey must produce music using discs. The term has evolved in the last 80 years... time to move along with the times.
and if one uses bridge, and plays synths realtime by scratching-n-mixing the vinyl, and having some live set loaded, is it then not a dj? would not be pre-recorded music, then.
