Shortcut for bussing outputs sequentially

Post by fishermusic » Sat Feb 27, 2010 7:19 pm

Hello there,

So here is what I'd like to know. (yes I searched all over the place already with no luck.)

I'm using Live as a Rewire slave to Pro Tools. After I get all the tracks, I record each track individually via rewire into Pro Tools.

2 questions.

(a) how do I change the outputs on all Live tracks to "ReWire Out" without having to do each one and
(b) is there a way to then sequentially route each track to a separate buss (1-2, 3-4, 5-6 etc.) with one shortcut. In Pro Tools, you simple hold apple, option, shift and each track routes to a separate output.

Appreciate the help. This will be a big timesaver for me if it can be done.

Ron

Not sure about automating the sequential routing, but selecting all the tracks and changing your output source to Rewire will change the routing for all selected tracks. It's somethin'.

Thanks for that suggestion. I found the best work around was to create a big fat template.

Ableton.....if you're checking these forums this would be a real time saver for composers being able to hold a set of keys and set the outputs via rewire (or any bussing) numerically.
