well, the hardcore solution is get max/msp and map all of your controllers in that, to go through max/msp's internal bus...
you may be able to do routing with something like clockworks from MOTU (free)
or you may just have to use MIDI in on one of your devices, which will work fine. just make sure the devices are sending data on seperate channels. thats easiest and free

That's a tad convoluted IMHO.........computo wrote:well, the hardcore solution is get max/msp and map all of your controllers in that, to go through max/msp's internal bus...

If you HAVE USB use it .
I don't own a Mac but on PC -> Live Preferences -> Midi -> Set input devices too USB device 1 + USB device 2 + Keyboard and then map key controls + USB device controllers for mixer/sends etc too taste.
Save a template .
You're good to go :D .
My aren't the wings of butterflies beautiful and do they not make wonderful perturbations.....
I AM!! wow, notacon mentioned on the LIve forum? that is something I NEVER thought Id see.
I highly recommend coming. It is going to be fun. Last year, notacon was great. I learned a LOT and hopefully taught something. I am performing and speaking, on the topics of Live, Reason, and Max/MSP/Jitter, depending on what the questions are, I'll spend more time on what people want.
Are you going?
Hope to see you, do introduce yourself!

Ah, yes. PC midiyoke could do it, if you're using a PC...
but if you are using a mac, its slightly different.
like I said, clockworks is a great program especially if you have a MOTU device, as it will let you do all of the same stuff as MIDI yoke, I think.
but max/msp! you rock that, and nothing will be out of question.

Midi pipe will make quick and simple work of this on the Mac side for those of you not looking to shell out the cash on Max just for a bit of MIDI routing.
